-Buy and store a fire ladder
-Fire drills help preparedness
-Vocal smoke detectors should be installed in every child's bedroom
-Be sure to test smoke
-Fire extinguishers are a must
-Know age, height, and weight for all your children in case of a 911
Tori Kropp, RN -"A Basic Emergency Kit Can Save Lives"
-Stock the kit with at least 3 gallons of water
-Moist hand wipes and garbage bags for sanitation
-3 Day supply of non-perishable food
-Important docs in a container
-Flashlight and extra batteries are must
Ann Douglas, "Emergency Plans are a great way to stay prepared"
-Map out a plan with quickest, safest exits to leave in a hurry
-Pick a place for all family members to meet
-Make copies of important documents
-Have a plan for exit with pets
