Super Simple Costumes: Enter to Win an iPad!

Do you find yourself scrambling every year at the last minute to buy or find your child's dream Halloween costume? Well, why not make their costume? Yep! Believe it or not, you don't have a to be a seamstress (or your mother) to make a super simple Halloween costume.

In fact, I've come up with the most simple costume their is.... This year, my son is going as Burt, the Chimney Sweeper from Mary Poppins. Adorable, right? For literally, less than $20, my son will get to dress up as a character from a movie he watches a million times a week. (Don't worry, we read a lot of books too). But seriously, what's so great about this costume, is that he can literally wear everything again... well maybe not the newsboy cap.... Or my crappy knit scarf. But still, this costume could win awards for originality and cuteness alone.

As a birthday gift! Im getting a big box, wrapping it in really cool looking gift wrap and a giant bow, then wearing some colorful tights or leggings. Tadaaa!

My daughter is going to be Tinkerbell. I'm not buying her costume...she wants mommy to make it. The materials ran me under $8.

My daughter is going to be Raggedy Ann. I have a white jumper bib and bloomers that I hand sewed. In addition, we'll be buying some red yarn to make her hair!

I thought my Theo was going as Dracula Jr., I got him this adorable outfit with a satin, red-lined cape from his nanny who IS actually a seamstress, but when he tried the costume on he immediately tapped into his 3 year old Method Acting abilities and channeled The Count from Sesame Street, "One; one beautiful apple! Hah hah hah hah!". So, um, I guess he's going as The Count. ;-)

Son is going to be a werewolf and daughter is going to be a tiger. She's had her tiger costume since early September, its looking a little worse for wear by now, but its still pretty cool. Thanks for a chance to win!
