MICK HARTE WAS HERE by Barbara Park is a astonishing and must read for boys and girls of all ages; after you read it, you will KNOW why this is such a book of importance.

My favorite book from childhood is "The Meanest Squirrel I Ever Met" by Gene Zion. When I was very young, my mom bought me an old library copy when the local library was closing. I've treasured it ever since, and now it's one of the books that my two daughters are always pulling off of the shelf to have me read at bedtime!

I would have to say that my favorite children's book would be "Green Eggs and Ham". That is the first book that my daughter started reading out loud for the first time. I also loved it as a kid.
