Do you give your children allowance for helping out around the house? Well, according to Parents Ask expert Dr. Foster Cline, giving young kids money (for stuff that they should be doing) sets a bad example. Dr. Cline believes rewards should not be monetary. (Someone should tell this to the Obamas who reportedly make their daughters make their own beds (gasp!) and give them $1 a week for allowance.
