Dr. Robert J. MacKenzie is a family therapist, educational psychologist, and nationally recognized parent educator and staff development trainer with more than 25 years of experience helping parents and teachers solve children’s learning and behavior problems.
In addition to providing family counseling and parent/teacher training workshops, Dr. MacKenzie writes for magazines and educational journals and consults privately with schools, hospitals, parent/teacher organizations, colleges, church groups and wide variety of community service agencies.
Dr. MacKenzie is a member of the American Psychological Association and the author of three books: Setting Limits helps parents teach rules and establish clear, firm boundaries for children of all ages and temperaments; Setting Limits in the Classroom is a skill-training program for teachers in effective classroom management; and Setting Limits with Your Strong-Willed Child helps parents and teachers teach rules and gain cooperation from challenging, hard-to-raise children who engage us in more testing and power-struggles.
