We all know that car seats are crucial for protecting our little ones on the streets, and the latest stats confirm it. According to the National Traffic and Highway Safety Administration (NTHSA), car seats reduce the risk of fatal injury by 71 percent for infants and 54 percent for toddlers. But that’s only when they’re used correctly, which most aren’t.

In a recent study in the journal Accident Analysis and Prevention, eight out of ten infant and toddler seats tested weren’t installed or used properly. And most parents don't just make one mistake - on average, they make three mistakes when trying to install a seat correctly.  To see if you know your car seat facts, jump on over to Toddler Magazine to take their excellent car seat quiz.  If you find you need to brush up on your skills, there are 4000 inspection stations nationwide that are staffed by trained and certified technician who teach parents how to properly install and use their car seats.
