More than 1 million sling carriers for babies were recalled this morning less than two weeks after the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning about slings-style carriers citing infant deaths.
The "Slingrider" or "Wendy Bellissimo" models from distributor Infantino are being recalled.
"Our top priority is the safety of infants whose parents and caregivers use our products," Infantino President Jack Vresics told The Associated Press.
According to the CPSC, at least 14 infant deaths have been associated with sling-style carriers.
