I finally said enough with the carbohydrate-only breakfast in my house.   My drowsy kids need a little protein to get them started in the morning so yesterday was a Japanese themed meal with tofu and rice and today was a bean and cheese burrito.  Tomorrow, with the exception of my daughter who is fish-phobic, we're trying this recipe for Crab Cakes Benedict from our sister site, Good bite.  Won't you join us?

A traditional breakfast egg will give you the protein you're seeking. As will sausage. No need to get exotic!
