Fake 'n' Bake: Holiday Desserts from Quick Gourmet Mixes

Everybody loves a little shortcut. Even Julia Childs...Okay, maybe not the JC- the goddess of all things butter, but she would at least appreciate it. We think. Nonetheless, WE, at Parents Ask, know how stressful the holidays are and we certainly know how exhausted you are from last minute shopping and hosting a houseful of guests. You hardly have time to shower, let alone bake something from scratch.

Well, our friends at GoodBite.com have put together a list of gourmet baking mixes you can pass off as homeade. The list includes cupcakes from LA's premiere cupcake-tier Sprinkles, to Thomas Keller's (that's right, the Thomas Keller) famous Bouchon chocolate cake.

We promise, these mixes are as delicious and easy to make as picking up a sheet cake from the store! The only thing you'll need: Help cleaning. May we recommend using your children... who are now loopy from said sugar overload...?
