This happens a lot, particularly among toddlers because when kids start day care or preschool, they are sick often. As a result, many parents and pediatricians choose to wait until a child is healthier before immunizing. There is a “catch up” schedule posted on the CDC web site if a child falls far behind. But most of the time, it is easy to make up missed vaccines if they are only a few weeks late. In other words, if your baby doesn’t get shots at precisely 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, and so on, they will still do their intended job and your don’t need to sweat it.
